Following the campaign launch in October, a follow up campaign was held in Tangalle recently, with merchants and customers drawn to the event in large numbers.
The key focus of this event was to introduce LankaQR payments and educate both customers and merchants in the area on the benefits of LankaQR as a method of contactless payments.

The LankaQR initiative was put forward by the CBSL, to implement a national Quick Response (QR) standard to enable convenient digital transactions between customers and businesses using mobile devices by simply scanning the LankaQR code to make payments.
