Boosted by the divestment of its tea plantations, diversified Sri Lankan conglomerate Sunshine Holdings PLC (CSE: SUN) reported notable growth in bottom-line performances during the first nine months of the current financial year (9MFY20).

Sri Lanka’s leading medium sized conglomerate reputed for its market dominance in the areas of financial services, manufacturing, real estate, technology and strategic investments, Ambeon Holdings PLC recorded a revenue of 15.9 Bn at group level compared to the 13.4Bn achieved during the corresponding period of 2018/19, resulting in a growth of 18%.

The Hayleys Group, Sri Lanka’s most diversified conglomerate demonstrated strong resilience in the 3rd quarter of 2019/20 to achieve a 41% growth in profit-after-tax.

Dipped Products Group Posts Improved Performance

Hayleys Group’s subsidiary Dipped Products PLC (DPL), a leader in the global hand protection glove market, reported Rs. 23.2 billion Group turnover for the nine months ending December 2019.

The Sri Lankan multinational Haycarb PLC reported revenue of Rs. 17.6 billion and profit before tax of Rs. 1,578 million for the nine months ending 31st December 2019.

HNB Finance Limited, a licensed finance company has obtained approval from the Colombo Stock Exchange to list its voting and non-voting ordinary shares.

The Ceylon Dollar Bond Fund that invests exclusively in Sri Lankan government issued International Sovereign Bonds (ISB), and SLDBs reported a strong US$ performance of 10.3% in 2019 to investors, while the fund size reached US$ 23 million as at 31 December, 2019, according to Ceylon Asset Management Managing Director, Dulindra Fernando.
