The three business sectors of the Group—healthcare, consumer goods and agribusiness—held their respective awards ceremonies under the theme of ‘Ignite the Future’.
The award ceremonies were graced by Sunshine Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer Shyam Sathasivam, Deputy Chairman Vish Govindasamy, key members of the Sunshine Group’s executive committee, distinguished guests and employees.
A total of 156 awards –Merit, Excellence, and Chairman’s Awards – were distributed among high performing individuals and teams at SUN Awards ceremonies.
Additionally, 89 long-standing awards were presented to recognise the commitment and loyalty of employees who have contributed to the company's success over 10 to 25 years.
To celebrate the lighter side of workplace achievements and camaraderie, 13 Fun Awards were also given during the award ceremonies.
Among the 3,000+ professionals that make up the SUN workforce, these awardees stood out for their outstanding performances and contributions towards the Group’s success.
Addressing each award ceremony, Shyam Sathasivam stated,

The award nights were made more colorful with performances by home-grown talent of Sunshine Holdings.
The entertainment acts included singing and dancing, showcasing the diverse and vibrant abilities of its employees.
Sunshine recorded a consolidated Group revenue of Rs.55.5 billion for the year ended 31 March 2024, a 7% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth.
Profit after tax (PAT) for the period in review increased by 66.4% to Rs. 6 billion.
The gross profit also increased by Rs. 3.7 billion, representing a robust 27.6% YoY growth, primarily driven by the margin expansion in both the healthcare and consumer segments.
The gross profit margin for the period stood at 31%, marking a significant improvement of 500 basis points compared to the previous year.
The Group’s Healthcare business emerged as the largest contributor to Sunshine’s revenue, accounting for 50% of the total, while Consumer Goods and Agribusiness sectors of the group contributed 34.8% and 15% respectively of the total Group revenue.
