Held on December 08, 2022, at the Monarch Imperial in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, securing these highly coveted titles stand as a strong reflection of Atlas Axilla’s brand position in the market, both in terms of consumer perception and its continued strife towards CSR efforts within the education space of Sri Lanka.
Before being awarded with these titles, the company was subjected to a stringent evaluation conducted by a panel of leading marketing professionals in the country.
Commenting on this development, Managing Director of Atlas Axillia Co., Asitha Samaraweera said,
“All of our 800 staff members work tirelessly each day to ensure that the children of Sri Lanka receive the education needed for their lives to flourish in the future.
Having said that, this cause is at the heart of all of our CSR efforts.
With our brand being uniquely positioned as a versatile player in this constantly broadening space, we are elated to have won both CSR Brand of the Year and Local Brand of the Year awards for 2022,”
According to Samaraweera, the beneficiaries of Atlas Axillia's CSR programs volume up to 120,000 children, 2,500 teachers and 10,000 parents.
Atlas Axillia Co. (Private) Limited, formerly known as Ceylon Pencil Company (Private) Limited, was founded in 1959 and has since grown to become Sri Lanka’s market leader in school stationery manufacturing.
An operation that began with a humble yellow pencil which was soon held by children across the country, has now become a company that is fueled with a passion for making learning fun.
Atlas has created a strong connection with Sri Lankan consumers, being voted No. 1 School Supply Brand of the year 2020 at the People’s Choice Awards and has also recently won many national and international awards for excellence including the National Quality Award 2018 and the Global Performance Excellence Award 2019.
