Irene will be responsible for the world’s leading and largest management accountancy body across South East Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, Australasia and North Africa.
Irene, who joined CIMA in November 2010, was previously regional director for South East Asia and Australasia.
She is assuming additional responsibility for the countries in CIMA’s MESANA (Middle East, South Asia and North Africa) region, taking over from previous director Bradley Emerson, who is retiring after nine years’ service.
CIMA’s managing director Andrew Harding said: “Irene has led CIMA South East Asia and Australasia and transformed its operations and results.
She is a respected leader and innovator in the sector”.
“We’d also like to thank Bradley for his many years of service.
Under his tenure CIMA has strengthened in Sri Lanka and expanded into Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
CIMA has experienced record growth under his leadership, and this growth will continue.”
