The concert was a spectacular event with the highlight of the evening being the introduction of ‘Bailatronic’ , a new genre of music for the first time in Sri Lanka.
In sync with latest global music trends, Prima KottuMee took the initiative to showcase the newly emerging genre of music ‘Bailatronic’ which has never before been experienced by Sri Lankan youth. With music being an integral part of the brand’s DNA, Prima KottuMee takes pride in bringing forth a number of music innovations by prominent artists as well as fostering local music talent.
‘Bailatronic’, invented by Ranidu Lankage, a Sri Lankan R&B and hip-hop artist popular locally and internationally, is hailed as 21st century global electronic music and has already been aired via radio in many countries around the world and was much awaited by local music fans. By introducing this new genre of music to the country, Prima KottuMee consolidated their commitment to music within the brand DNA and delivering on the brand promise of fun.
The concert was a mind-blowing display of music and dance with a distinct international edge and an audience eager to see Ranidu perform in Sri Lanka after two years. Having kicked off the evening with a crowd engaging performance by Krishan Maheson, the concert was headlined by Ranidu and also featured energetic performances in line with the essence of Bailatronic by popular local artists like Natasha Ratnayake and Dushyanth Weeraman.
Another noteworthy event at the concert was the launch of the Prima KottuMee Model Hunt 2015 Facebook App live on stage which enables youth on FB to apply for Prima KottuMee Model Hunt 2015 by Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2014 Imaya Liyanage who incidentally was a past success of the Prima KottuMee Model Hunt.
The night was jam-packed with music and dancing leaving the audience with nothing but rave reviews for the performers and Bailatronic as witnessed in the outpouring of enthusiastic posts on both Twitter and Facebook.
