The awards which was held this year under the theme of ‘Engineering Excellence through Project Excellence’, commended Mobitel for its project excellence of the Stage VII project, the largest network expansion project which consists of more than 1530 2G/3G/LTE nodes, 700 Transmission nodes and more than 430 infrastructural elements.

The Annual Excellence in Engineering Awards which was held for the ninth consecutive year recently was established by the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) to give recognition to individuals, organizations and enterprises in Sri Lanka for their outstanding accomplishments and achievements related to engineering.
