SriLanka takes steps to provide better customer service for electricity consumers

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), launched a discussion series with the officials of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company Private Limited (LECO) to collectively improve the implementation process of consumer service guidelines and finds ways and means to overcome the barriers in order to provide a better customer service to the electricity consumers in Sri Lanka.

PUCSL plans to cover all the nine (09) provinces with the discussion series where PUCSL aware and discuss 15 consumer guidelines that are beneficial for electricity consumer, issues with regard to the implementation and plans to find ways and means to implement and improve it together with CEB and LECO.

The first discussion succesfully held in Southern Province (Galle, Matara, Hambantota) on 10th March 2020 with the activie participation of more than 100 officials from CEB and LECO.

The next disscussion will be held in Anuradhapura on end March 2020 with the participation of officials from CEB and LECO in North Central Province.
