Businesscafe - Samsung Electronics has officially announced the launch of its One UI 8 Beta Program, marking the dawn of a new generation in mobile software intelligence.

Sri Lankan users can look forward to a revolutionary AI experience with the upcoming One UI 8, designed to redefine how Galaxy devices interact with their users.

This first-generation upgrade will debut alongside Samsung’s newest foldables and gradually roll out to a wider range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

Samsung’s One UI platform has consistently prioritized productivity, personalization, and simplicity.

With One UI 8, the company takes a bold leap forward, integrating an advanced multimodal AI agent that enhances how users interact with their devices across different form factors, including foldables, tablets, and traditional smartphones.

The beta program is now open in select countries for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users.

Although the program is currently limited to these markets, Samsung Sri Lanka anticipates bringing the official One UI 8 experience to its local Galaxy users later this year.

One UI 8 is among the first platforms to adopt Android 16, a milestone made possible through Samsung’s close collaboration with Google.

This partnership enabled the two tech giants to share real-time design feedback and co-develop an experience tailored for the evolving needs of today’s mobile users.

One UI 8 introduces a robust suite of AI-powered tools designed to make daily life smarter and more intuitive.

The new AI engine supports multimodal capabilities, allowing users to interact naturally through text, voice, visuals, and context-aware actions..

Importantly, Samsung has embedded robust security within this AI ecosystem.

Powered by Samsung Knox Vault, One UI 8 ensures that personal data remains protected through both on-device and cloud-based processing, giving users full transparency and control.

Beyond AI, One UI 8 brings a variety of enhancements that streamline everyday tasks.

Sri Lankan users will benefit from : Auracast Audio Sharing, a new Bluetooth LE Audio feature allowing effortless group audio streaming via QR codes, compatible with Galaxy Buds3 and supported hearing aids.

NFC and QR-Based Support, a device servicing at Samsung customer care centers will be faster and simpler, with QR and NFC registration eliminating manual paperwork.

Upgraded Reminder App, whether planning a family trip or a busy work week, the new Reminder app offers voice-enabled, intuitive features that simplify to-do lists and trip planning.

Enhanced Quick Share allows you to share memories in seconds with a single tap on the Quick Share button, making file sharing faster and more accessible than ever.

With One UI 8, Samsung not only redefines what’s possible on a smartphone — it also sets the stage for a smarter, more connected future.
