Women in Business Partners with SpareTime Global Limited

Businesscafe - Women in Business a long-standing foundation that supports low-income women entrepreneurs and start-ups has partnered with SpareTime Global Limited to promote education and recreational activities among school children in Sri Lanka.

An initiative introduced by SpareTime Global Limited called “Sponsor A Child in Sri Lanka’ will support children from low-income families, throughout their schooling and carry out activities related to educational growth.


The two foundations will work with teachers, parents, and principals to ensure that the sponsored child will be provided with the essentials to stay in school.


The Founder and Chairperson of Women in Business, Yamuna Chandrika, said the partnership will be a great opportunity for school children, and this programme is very crucial at this time of crisis.


Children are the most affected by the current situation, ‘Sponsor A Child in Sri Lanka’ will ensure the child will be provided financially throughout their education.


The Chief Operations Officer, Asiri Hewapathirane of SpareTime said,


“with the guidance of the Chairman Mr Chaminda De Silva, the ‘Sponsor A Child in Sri Lanka’ initiative was launched at a time of need.


Through this programme, we hope to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.


With other innovative and state-of-art apps launched, such as SpareTime User®, SpareTime Provider®, and SpareTime MarketPlace®, we hope to enhance the Sri Lankan community monetarily.


Through this, we will encourage Sri Lankan children to learn ten foreign languages free of charge.


We are delighted to work hand in hand with WIB to take this venture forward”.


Women in Business has supported more than 100,000 businesswomen in the small and medium enterprise sector.


The foundation helps with the initial expenses and sustaining of the business.


SpareTime Global platform will support these women through its e-commerce venture to connect with international buyers and be global businesswomen.


SpareTime Global Limited is an international networking base that engages in multiple ventures, its main focus is to support many charitable causes across the globe.
