This year ISAC brought sporting talent to the surface as Shelinda Jansen from Gateway College Colombo emerged Best Female Athlete - 100m with a new meet record of 11.94 seconds and Sandun Kumara from Lyceum International School emerged as Best Male Athlete with yet another new meet record for Triple Jump with 15.44 meters.
The event was held on February 14th, 15th and 16th February 2020, at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo and attracted over 1600 young athletes from 23 International Schools in the Island.
Driven by the mission of supporting and enhancing the profile of local sports, the ISAC sponsorship was aimed at providing young athletes the right platform to shine forth, starting from the school level and building them up to reach their true potential at national level competitions.
The Championship helped to nurture a strong skill pool of talented athletes who can help Sri Lanka to reach the next realm of sporting prowess.
