The book comprising poems and short stories written by the twenty-nine year old author reflects a journey of self-discovery, driven by positive thinking and a change of mindset that she herself ardently believes in.
‘Ink Theory’ resonates with Imanthi’s usual style of writing and is intended to help individuals realise their true undiscovered potential and embark on a journey of achieving their purpose in life.
The launch event, powered by amanté Sri Lanka and supported by Galaxy chocolates, was well attended by family, friends and popular personalities in the local entertainment industry who all gathered to support Imanthi in her debut venture.
Following a reading off her book to the gathering, Imanthi proceeded on to acknowledging those who empowered in her journey of self-discovery, and concluded the event by presenting the first copy of her book ‘Ink Theory’ to her parents and brother.
The attendees were then treated to a wonderful acoustic performance by popular local band, ‘Kurumba’ during which time Imanthi engaged in the signing of books for her guests.
A communications specialist by profession, Imanthi has been actively engaging in creative writing since 2014.
The vision to launch a book came to light a year later with the realisation that she had accumulated substantial content over the months and has consistently been receiving positive feedback for her material via her ‘Ink Theory’ pages on both Facebook and Instagram.
The books will be made available by at both Vijitha Yapa outlets and the Barefoot Gallery by mid-November.
Imanthi is currently working on expanding her collection of short stories and poems on positive thinking, with the aim of inspiring and empowering her readers through her writing.
