Wennappuwa, Hanwella and Attidiya recently welcomed their own Arpico ‘Daily’ supermarkets, as the convenience-focussed retail giant opened three new outlets as part of its expansion plan targeting key towns and populous suburbs.
The Arpico supermarket categorised as ‘Daily’ is a microcosm of the Arpico shopping experience, representing the product diversity, multi-brand choice, ancillary services and wider aisle space that are the hallmark of the larger Arpico Supercentres.
“Over the past six months, we have opened six new Daily Supermarkets and a Superstore,” said Minodh de Sylva, Head of Marketing at Richard Peiris Distributors Ltd. “
Arpico enjoys a distinct identity in the supermarket space, because of its emphasis on the shopping experience, and all of these new outlets are achieving their targets.”
The new Arpico Daily outlet located at No. 1/56, Chilaw Road, Wennappuwa offers the comprehensive product range and facilities available at other Arpico Daily Supermarkets, and is the only supermarket in Wennappuwa to retail electronic appliances in addition to the regular product range.
The Arpico Daily supermarket opened at No. 273, Vidyala Mawatha, Hanwella is the only supermarket in the area to offer household items such as car care products, toys and rubber products, alongside the standard supermarket inventory.
The new outlet at Attidiya is located at No. 144, Main Street, Attidiya. Among its noteworthy features are the widest isle space among supermarkets in the area, and a spacious car park that can accommodate up to 40 vehicles.
All Arpico ‘Daily’ outlets have ample space for parking and offer fast moving consumer goods, daily essentials, dairy products, fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood, household items such as kitchenware, glassware and plastic items, toys, stationery, garden products and electronics.
