The prestigious event, held at Monarch Imperial, brought together the dynamic Bancassurance team and supporting functions to honour the extraordinary achievements throughout the year.
With the theme "Limitless," the event unfolded with electrifying excitement and celebrations, and served as a recognition platform, fostering connections, motivating individuals, and inspiring further accomplishments.
The event was graced by the senior management, including Suresh Rajendra, President – Financial Services Sector/ IT Sector and Leisure Industry Group - John Keells Holdings PLC, and attended by over 150 award recipients.
Union Assurance performed exceptionally well in 2022, strengthening partnerships with 7 leading banks and retaining its position as the nation’s leading Bancassurance service provider recording an ANBP of over Rs.1.4 billion.
This has bolstered the company’s purpose to protect lives extending financial security and safeguarding the wellbeing of all Sri Lankans.
The main awards of the night, Champion of Champions were won by Harsha Wijesinghe from the Nations Trust Bank Channel of Union Assurance, and Naguleswara Shobitha from the Commercial Bank Channel of Union Assurance.
The Best Regional Manager award in the First Premium based category was won by Kasun Chandrasiri from the Nations Trust Bank Channel of Union Assurance, while T. Shajeethan from the Commercial Bank Channel of Union Assurance took home the awards in the Annualised New Business Premium based category.
In the Best Zonal Manager category, Charith Abeywardena from the Nations Trust Bank Channel of Union Assurance won the award in the First Premium based category while V. Temcy from the Commercial Bank Channel of Union Assurance bagged the award in the Annualised New Business Premium based category.
The CEO of Union Assurance, Jude Gomes lauded the winners for their achievements.
He said that the team achieved significant growth in new business, enabling the company to consolidate its undisputed leadership in the field and expand the Bancassurance footprint across Sri Lanka.
