Jennings, who is also a popular Youtube star, was declared male at birth, but identified as female shortly after.
In an interview with The Huffington Post, she said, “I feel really honored to be part of the See the Real Me campaign.
It's really amazing, as it helps many teen girls who are struggling. It helps them to find themselves and be true to who they are.”
The video features Jennings in her daily life, as she discussed the struggles she faces as a transgender teen in middle school, adding that some of her classmates have even referred to her as “it.”
The campaign also features a social media component, which uses the hashtag #SeeTheRealMe to encourage conversations around the topic of equality.
