One of the largest national competitions for hairdressers and beauticians to display their talents, the National Awards has created many benchmarks in the industry and elevated the standards to an international level.
This year, Over 100 hairdressers and beauticians from island-wide will display their expertise to a group of eminent International judges.
All registered contestants are given free training by some of the most renowned hairdressers and beauticians in the industry.
As a result, the contesters will receive a rare opportunity to develop their skills and perform at their optimum.
The competition which conforms to international regulations will consist of 13 distinct categories including Ladies Fashion Day Hair Style, Gents Progressive Cut and Style, Ladies Hair by Night, Ladies Individual Fantasy Nails, Ladies Individual Bridal Hair Style and Ladies Individual Bridal Makeup.
The event will conclude with the awards ceremony commencing at 6pm.

This year’s colorful event will be marked by trade stalls and demonstrations throughout the day by leading brands in the hair and beauty care industry.
As the co-sponsor of the event, My Chemist group will demonstrate the use of a range of ‘Dermacolor’ makeup products and ‘Basicare’ beauty care accessories.

This quarterly magazine will consist of health and beauty care related articles from renowned beauticians and doctors in Sri Lanka.
In 2017, SLAHAB plans to celebrate its 20th milestone with a gala event showcasing the work of esteemed hairdressers and beauticians in the country.
