Owning a Land: A Dream Come True for Diva's Loyal Consumers

Sri Lankan company, Hemas is conscious about the needs and aspirations of the Sri Lankan consumer. In the past, washing powder was considered a luxury.

Hemas revolutionalised the Sri Lankan market in 2003, by introducing an economical detergent powder to the consumers. Diva has made laundry simple, easy and less time consuming by removing dirt faster with minimal effort. 


Over the years, Diva's market share has expanded rapidly with more consumers converting from soap to detergent powder. Within a short time span, Diva has made a significant change in the marketplace, offering convenience, quality and superior value, as Diva grew in popularity, the brand wanted to give back to its loyal customers.


Diva realized that owning land was the ultimate dream for millions of Sri Lankans. Hence, after engaging with its loyal customers, Diva pro-actively took steps to make its consumers' dream a reality by initiating the Diva land promotion initiative.

The inaugural Diva consumer promotion titled 'Ravumata Idamak' commenced in 2011. Valuable plots of land, close to Colombo was on offer for its winners. In 2012, under the theme 'Nuwanakkariya Idamak' Diva consumers were invited to participate in a similar promotion where 3 valuable plots of land, close to Colombo were awarded to its winners.


Last year, for the third consecutive time, Diva spearheaded yet another mega consumer promotion titled 'Nidhan Ekka Idam' where 4 valuable plots of land, close to Colombo were gifted to the winners.


To-date, a total of 16 plots have been gifted to Diva's loyal consumers through its land distribution promotion. As its popularity grew, Diva added other prizes to its consumer promotion such as fridges, motor bicycles and cash, in order to increase the number of loyal consumers who are rewarded.

This year, Diva consumer promotion titled 'Idame Vasanawawa' was carried out from May to August. Five lucky Diva consumers were granted their wish of owning a plot of land close to Colombo.


The five lucky winners of the plots of land worth 1 million each are Nisantha Weerasinghe of Udubaddawa; Sameera Sampath of Beralapanathara; P.H Chandra of Thalpe; Sisira Ananda Perera of Kotogoda and R.P.D Rajapakshe of Digana.

In keeping with the Hemas mission of Enriching Lives of consumers, in addition, to cash prizes of Rs.10, 000 on a daily basis, this year, Diva has generously gifted valuable gold coins to 18 lucky winners. The winners were facilitated during a ceremony held recently at Galarari Hotel.

Diva has announced that a similar consumer promotion will be organized in 2015. All loyal customers of Diva are invited to start collecting Diva packages so that they can participate in this popular consumer promotion and have a chance at making their dream of owning their own land a reality.
