Sri Lankan born Jorgina Donna s motorsport podcast attracts global icons and pioneers

Businesscafe - Jorgina Donna, a Sri Lankan motor sporting enthusiast, is putting Sri Lanka on the map in the world of podcasts with her podcast “Jorgy’s Stripping The Dipping”.

It is a motorsport podcast with two English hosts that has attracted some of the biggest names in the international motorsport industry as guests.

JW Networks, the company founded and owned by Jorgina Donna, creates and distributes podcasts on Spotify and YouTube to thousands of followers globally.

The podcast has already gained popularity among a large audience including car enthusiasts, general podcast listeners, motorsport enthusiasts, motorsport athletes, and other athletes.

Some of the world-famous individuals who have made an appearance on the podcast include Mario Andretti from Andrettis Sports, Bryan Herta, former Williams F1 Team Principal Jost Capito, Matt Bishop (former Communications Director of Aston Martin F1), Matt Gallagher, and Ben Hunt. Several racers, engineers, F1 journalists, and famous content creators in the industry have also appeared on the podcast.

Beyond the world of motorsport, the podcast also brought in Jonathan Sugar Foot Moffet, the drummer of music icons such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Elton John.

The roots of the podcast go back to the time when an unemployed Donna decided to take a chance in life and started her own company.

Being a proud Sri Lankan who is passionate about putting Sri Lanka on the global map in the arena of sports, she commenced the podcast in March 2022 even as the country was struggling with the economic crisis.

She has been delivering high-quality content consistently ever since and built up a loyal fan base.

Donna hopes to expand the podcast in the future by gaining access into the world of F1, NASCAR, Indy Car, and FIA, thereby making it a global multi-channel network in Sports and Entertainment and becoming the first in Sri Lanka in the process.

Looking back at her journey, Donna commented,

“It has been an exciting ride so far, much like the world of motorsport. The podcast started off small in March 2022 and has gradually built up speed to become what it is today.

I am simply a girl from a small island in the Indian Ocean who is passionate not only about motorsport but also about broadcasting and media.

This podcast is one way I am taking Sri Lanka to the global stage through sports and entertainment. Looking beyond the podcast,

I am already making plans to get into documentaries and many more exciting projects in the future so that I can grow this company into a global network and make a mark in the world as a proud Sri Lankan woman.”

In addition to the podcast, Donna has created a YouTube channel named Muscle Nerds for fitness enthusiasts.

Muscle Nerds is a platform where anyone can join and share their journey, stories, and anything related to fitness from sports to nutrition to workouts to programs.
