The record-breaking attempt took place on November 6 at Bentwaters Park, Suffolk in United Kingdom and behind the wheel of the truck was stuntman Mike Ryan (UK).
He managed to jump the huge semi-truck no less than 83 feet and 7 inches over a moving Lotus Formula 1 car driven by Martin Ivanov, also a reputable stuntman.
Needless to say, this was done for publicity purposes to increase EMC's awareness, a cloud computing and data management company that collaborates with the Lotus F1 Team.
The fact that they broke the Guinness World Record for a truck jump was certainly a nice bonus.
